A Little About…Little Ol’ Me.

Hi Friends!

Welcome to my website. My name is Sarah Lockard and I am honored to have you here. I’d like to share a bit about myself and my unique marketing background.

I grew up on Beechtree Lane and Midland Avenue in Wayne, Pennsylvania—the heart of the Main Line. After attending the University of Connecticut on a Division-One field hockey scholarship and graduating with a dual bachelors degree in journalism and communications, I worked in network television across America and the print magazine world for many, many years.

In 2008, fascinated by a new communications medium that was gaining steam called Facebook, I decided to launch my online magazine-AroundMainLine.com. For 13 years, and yes through a challenging Covid-economy, I helped local small businesses navigate social media, plan events and understand the power of professional photography in effectively communicating who they are.

A lifelong foodie, I was inspired to create the Philly burbs first ever suburban restaurant week in 2010, Main Line Restaurant Week, which I ran with my marketing partner OpenTable for nearly a decade. Main Line Restaurant Week gave me the exceptional opportunity to work one-on-one with the world’s top chefs and over 100 regional restaurants.

Now, today, I bring you 15 years of this intense and exciting life experience to my own website. It is here I can demonstrate my scope of work and skills and enthusiasm for all things social media.
