Event Marketing Case Study: Ludwig's Corner Carnival

Ludwig’s Corner Show Grounds was hosting their 4th annual summer Corner Carnival and needed additional audience and awareness along with professional photography and videos. The grounds of the carnival are 33 acres of pristine and protected open space in the heart of Chester County. The carnival serves as a key fundraiser each year for land maintenance and preservation.

The event took place from Tuesday, July 18th through Saturday, July 22nd in Glenmoore, PA. Organized by Houghton Entreprises, the Corner Carnival featured delightful rides, food, games and plenty of summer fun for the whole family. In addition, Levante Brewing Company has a regular presence on the show grounds with a beer garden offering their seasonal craft beers—so guests could mingle and imbibe at the area picnic tables and barrels set up adjacent to the festivities.

The summer carnival is an important mid-summer marketing opportunity for Ludwig’s as the property is gearing up for their signature September event—the 80th annual Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair. This event is a popular Chester County Labor Day weekend tradition beloved by local families for many generations.

This year the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show & Country Fair will take place Saturday, September 2nd through Monday, September 4th. Since 1943, it is respected as one of the best shows for area equestrians in the Brandywine & Delaware Valleys to compete in locally-rated competition in Hunters, Jumpers & Equitation.

With 15 years of event marketing and a huge focus (and regional following) in the Main Line and local equestrian community, I was able to provide a valuable and dynamic strategy that creatively captured and highlighted the carnival.

My services included a five day commitment of consistent contact, content and social media interaction and communication with Ludwig’s. I delivered on a campaign that was creative, entertaining and experiential.

I truly feel my passion and poetic prowess for storytelling and sensational social media comes alive with community events like the Corner Carnival—and I look forward to many more projects of this nature moving forward.
